The Dessert Museum is not your typical museum. It’s more like an interactive art exhibit with 8 mouthwatering rooms designed around different dessert themes. The rooms are spread across 12,000 square feet, all brimming with sugar-filled happiness. Anyone with a sweet tooth who has ever dreamt of stepping foot inside Candyland will appreciate the eye candy and well-designed props.
Follow Candy Rabbits through a Donut Hole and slip down a sprinkle slide. Choose your path in their pastel-hued Candy Cane Groves, walk under a licorice rainbow, or go Cotton Candy Picking in a delectable forest that’ll give you a sugar rush.
To help with crowd control and improve the experience for everyone, tours around the museum are usually done in fixed batches in two-hour slots.
The eight themed rooms are designed around popular sweet treats like such as Donuts, Marshmallows, Candy Canes, Ice Cream, Bubble Gum, Gummy Bears, Cotton Candy and Cakes.
Aside from the quirky photo ops each room has to offer, visitors get to learn fun facts about each dessert, making the experience both sweet and educational at the same time.
However, unlike typical museums that are heavy on information, this museum is designed more like an open playground or a giant photo studio. The made-for-Instagram selfie spots and photo-ready booths will appeal mostly to social media users and millennials.
