Physical strength is no small thing. It’s the manifestation of discipline, patience, and dedication to become better versions of one’s self. In essence, physical strength is also mental and emotional strength, and this fact is what Spartan celebrates.
Spartan is a series of obstacle races designed to put athletes and fitness enthusiasts to the test. It originated in North America but has now been franchised globally. It holds up to 130 races annually, and this year, the Philippines will be holding its own version.
Spartan Philippines offer the three signature races, each “escalating in distance, obstacle count and challenge level”: Spartan Sprint (5K/20 Obstacles), Spartan Super (10K/25 Obstacles), and Spartan Beast (Half Marathon/30 Obstacles). All categories feature obstacles featuring mud, barbed wire, walls, rope, and fire. Complete all three and you’ll be considered a member of the TRIFECTA Tribe.
Spartan PH also has Kids Races, Ultra, and Hurricane Heat which is a team race. Special trails for trail-runners are also available.The races do not offer prizes, but top 10 elite qualifiers (men, women, and age brackets) will be eligible to join the Spartan Championship which does give out prize money.

- Kids – Php2,000 for Competitive Girls, Boys, and Ages 10-11, and 12-13; Php1,400 for Open 10-14 y/o (3.2KM), Open 7-9 y/o (1.6KM), Open 4-6 y/o (800M)
June 6, 2020 – Lima Technology Center, Malvar, Batangas
- Sprint – Php4,000 Elite Men, Women, and Age Group; Php3,000 for Open
- Super – Php2,000 for Competitive Girls, Boys, and Ages 10-11, and 12-13; Php1,400 for Open 10-14 y/o (3.2KM), Open 7-9 y/o (1.6KM), Open 4-6 y/o (800M)
